International exhibition BALKANFILA - 2023
International exhibition BALKANFILA, after almost five decades, will be held again in Belgrade from 12th to 14th October 2023. The international philatelic exhibition BALKANFILA was first held in Bulgaria in 1965. Until 2016, 18 exhibitions were held, and Serbia, as part of Yugoslavia, was the host twice: in Belgrade in 1977 (BALKANFILA VI) and in Novi Sad in 1987 (BALKANFILA XI).
The location of the exhibition is in the city center – THE CENTRAL MILITARY CLUB, Republic Square.
Mission
The mission of BALKANFILA is to consolidate and develop the friendship between the philatelists from the Balkan Region. A total of 12 countries will participate in The International Philatelic Exhibition BALKANFILA XIX: Albania, Bosnia & Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Croatia, Greece, North Macedonia, Montenegro, Romania, Serbia, Slovenia, Turkey and Hungary, as invited country.
Judging team
The judging team of the BALKANFILA exhibition is composed of accredited FIP judges, who come from the participating countries. We are very pleased to announce that the response of interested exhibitors was very high and that the competition class, together with the honorary class, will count 600 frames.
Honorary patron
Recognizing the importance of this exhibition, as well as the results achieved by Serbian exhibitors at world philatelic exhibitions, the President of the Republic of Serbia, Aleksandar Vučić, accepted to be the patron of the exhibition BALKANFILA XIX.
General Sponsor
The complete logistical and financial support was taken over by the Serbian postal operator – ”Post of Serbia”, which is the GENERAL SPONSOR of this exhibition, while the Union of Philatelists of Serbia will actively participate in the organizational part of the exhibition.
FIP Sponsorship
The World Philatelic Federation FIP has accepted, as part of the program of support for regional exhibitions, sponsorship for the exhibition BALKANFILA XIX. The exhibition will be held in accordance with standards of FIP.
